Further books in the SHAR series will be edited by Allison B. Coffin and Joseph A. Sisneros. Dick and I turned SHAR over to our two colleagues and great friends, and I very much look forward to how they move the series forward. We wish them well, and a very long life for SHAR.

Finally, I know that Dick would agree in our saying that we have greatly enjoyed and valued working with innumerable scientific colleagues and many colleagues at Springer, and thank them all for their great collaboration, guidance, and help as SHAR was developed and has evolved.

Creating and editing SHAR has been a “blast,” and a very precious part of our lives and that of our families. Indeed, see the preface to every SHAR volume since 50 to see our thoughts about the contributions of our families to SHAR over more than 30 years.
